Lots of FUN Projects

Hi,

Well, since I am behind in posts, I thought I would share lots of photos of the projects I had worked on for Christmas. They are quite late but maybe they will inspire you for something else.

This set of photos are the rest of the projects that we made at the Christmas Gifts Class. I will be updating my schedule tomorrow with a new list of classes-so stay tuned! Remember for updates when I post new things to my blog, subscribe to my blog by clicking the SUBSCRIBE button the left!

Turquoise Gift Tin

This tin was originally sold as a part of the Punch Box Special we used to do and then Stampin' Up! decided to sell the tins seperately in the Clearance rack. I snatched several up to use for classes. They were available to customers for a bit til they sold out.

I designed this tin project for my class attendees to use to give away gifts of baked goods. You can put in ti: cookies, cakes, fudge…(well, you get the idea).  They make perfect gifts for teacher, friends, and family members, etc.

I used the fabulous Big Shot machine and the Flower Folds die to make the beautiful layered flower!

I also used 5/8" Real Red Grosgrain ribbon, Tempting Turquoise cardstock, Holiday Lounge Designer Series Paper, Circle Fire Rhinestone Brads, and Sticky Strip to apply the ribbon. Here is a close-up of that flower:

Peppermint Patty Gift Tin

I thought this came out really cute. I wanted to go for a more shabby look and everyone loved it-so of course that made it better for me. Don't you just love when you make something by hand with love and it gets some extra attention? Of course you do!

This was another tin from the Stampin' Up! Clearnce rack.

The products I used for this project include: Merry Moments Designer Series Paper, Felt Flurries, Antique Brass Build-A-Brads, 1/2" circle punch, my fabulous Big Shot machine again using the Originals Blossom Party die, Alpine Ribbon originals, Very Vanilla Cardstock, Chocolate Chip cardstock, Old Olive cardstock, Real Red cardstock, and the 1 3/8", 1 1/4", and Scalloped Circle punches for the patties. Oh, I also used the stamp sets: Christmas Punch and Season of Joy.

Handstamped Snowflake Candle

It has been a long time since I made one of these candles for a class and since I had some newbies, I thought I would do it again but this time with brads embedded into the candle. Of course, this is a really easy gift idea for anyone. All you have to do is handstamp some white tissue paper(the kind you use in gift bags), and then melt it into the candle using the Stampin' Up! Embossing Heat Tool. I also did some embossing unto the tissue with Silver embossing powder. Then when your finished and the candle is still a bit warm, just plug in the brads. They really go in very easily!

Products that were used: large gussetted cello bags, a white candle from the dollar store, tissue paper, silver mini brads, Brocade Blue Classic Ink, Night of Navy Classic Ink, Silver Encore pigment Ink embossed with Silver EP, embossing buddy, heat tool, Christmas Punch stamp set, Wide Oval punch, Brocade Blue 5/8" grosgrain ribbon, and silver cording.

Floral Journal

Well, I had enough of the RETIRED 2009 Salebration DSP paper and green twill ribbon from last year so I decided to use them for this journal. GASP! Yes, I hardly ever use retired merchandise at my classes. But…. what can I say?

This was very simple to make. The journals are from the dollar store. I used the Little Leaves Sizzlit and Blossom Party die in my Big Shot again…love that die! I love the Silver Filigree designer brad in the center of the flower. I just punched a hole with my paper piercing tool on my foam matt pack through all the flowers and secured it with the silver brad. I glued it all on with some Sticky Strip. I used some silver mini brads for a decorative accent on the label. That was made using the Modern Label punch and the Word Window punch.

Friendship 2010 Pocket Planner

Isnt' this adorable? I got the pocket planners from the Target dollar spot. I just took the planner out of the plastic sleeve, decorated it, and then slipped it right back in. You may not want it to be too layered or you may not be able to slip it back into the sleeve.

I used the following Stampin' Up! products to make this:

Razzleberry Lemonade DSP patterned paper, Very Vanilla cardstock, Rich razzleberry Classic Ink and cardstock, Crushed Curry ink, So Saffon 3/8" grosgrain, and the Always stamp set. I so love that set. I borrowed it from my friend, Tanya and I used it make this. I must order this set and have it for my own! I miss it!

I almost forgot to add that I used the Stampin' Pastels with a Q-Tip to colour in the stamped images.

Well, I hope you enjoyed my projects and keep coming back. I hope to be better at posting more. I have to admit that I get very intimidated by posting as I am really not a good writer. I may be verbose sometimes but it does take me forever to get to the point…haha! So bear with me as I really do love creating. I just have to get used to having a blog!

May Christ fill your heart with creativity and His utmost love till I see you next!
